Colter Wall’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Memories and Empties,” is set for release on November 14, 2025

As one of this generation’s most revered voices in traditional country and Western music, Wall once again carries the torch for roots-based storytelling, delivering a record steeped in nostalgia, honest blue-collar narratives, and ’70s country influences.

Recorded at a Country Landmark

The album was recorded live at the iconic RCA Studio A in Nashville, a setting famous for producing legendary classic country works by artists like Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard. Co-produced alongside his longtime collaborator Pat Lyons, Wall’s signature gravelly baritone and the sturdy playing of his Scary Prairie Boys bring a direct, unvarnished sound that’s designed for honky tonks, barrooms, porches, and pickups across North America.

A Tracklist Rooted in Traditions

“Memories and Empties” features a collection of ten songs, most penned by Wall himself, with a poignant closing tribute to Canadian songwriting legend Ian Tyson. The album’s lead single, “1800 Miles,” released September 26, sets the stage with its unapologetic return to traditional country themes and defiant attitude toward contemporary commercial trends.

Thematic Depth: Connections and Reflections

The album explores how humans connect—to each other, to the land, to time, and to the divine. Wall’s lyrics paint images of working-class endurance, fleeting presence, and the companions found in both spirits and spirituals. Drawing deeply from the rich well of ’70s country, each track pulses with warmth, humility, and the candid wisdom that has made Wall a favorite among both critics and fans.

Beyond the Studio: New Tour Dates

Coinciding with the release, Wall’s fall tour is currently sold out, and he has announced a series of Texas shows for early 2026, attesting to his devoted following and the enduring resonance of his music.

Editions and Collectibles

“Memories and Empties” will be available in several formats, including deluxe vinyl editions featuring alternate covers, colored discs, and a special vinyl-only track.

Colter Wall’s “Memories and Empties” promises to stand as a triumphant celebration of classic country craftsmanship, offering new anthems for the working class and fans of authentic Western storytelling.
